Support DACA with AZDREAMS.org
After President Trump's administration announced the end of DACA status, Pearl worked quickly with a colleague, Luis Avila, and in partnership with the AZ Community Foundation to set up the AZ DREAMs fund to support DACA recipients in renewing their status before the impending deadline. AZDREAMs.org was born, and with the partnership of several business organizations across the state, the campaign raised over $70,000 in less than 2 weeks. This enabled numerous local Arizona organizations to help over 100 families renew their DACA status for another 2 years. Pearl is now working to support leading DACA advocates in securing a permanent and bi-partisan solution for Dreamers that will bring stability and economic prosperity.
SARRC Board of Directors
Pearl is passionate about ensuring that ALL individuals reach their full potential in life and serves as a board member for the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center. SARRC is leading the way nationally on autism awareness, early detection, intervention and services across the lifespan. Through the leadership of individuals like Denise Resnik and Danny Openden (pictured right), SARRC has made Phoenix the "most autism friendly city in America."
Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce
Arizona has wonderful assets, including many talented and service minded leading ladies. Pearl was a Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce Athena Award recipient and continues to actively participate in mentoring other women through this program. She has served on the Phoenix Chamber's Board of Directors and is a champion for women in leadership and women supporting one another.
Achieve60AZ launches
The vast majority of jobs will require more education or training beyond high school. That is why Achieve60AZ was created - a grassroots community-led initiative that aspires for more Arizonans to attain the education they need to secure high-quality jobs. A unique community-driven partnership between Arizona universities, community colleges across the state, the Governor's office, College Success Arizona, Helios Education Foundation, and over 70 business and education groups, Expect More Arizona played a key role in the creation and launch of this initiative.
Asian American Chamber of Commerce Keynote
Asian Americans have a very important role to play in the economic and cultural development of Phoenix. Pearl enjoys being an active member of the Asian American community through speaking and contributing with various community organizations and events.
The State of Black Education in Arizona

Arizona Education Commissioner
Pearl was appointed by the Governor in 2016 to serve as an Education Commissioner for the Education Commission of the States (ECS), representing Arizona. ECS is a national non-partisan organization that serves to advance effective P-20 education policy, education equity and facilitate learning and collaboration between states.
AZ Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

Expect More Arizona launches Arizona Aims Higher
During her tenure as President & CEO of Expect More Arizona, Pearl and her team partnered with numerous business and education organizations to ensure high academic standards for Arizona's K-12 students. Together, they launched a campaign called Arizona Aims Higher and successfully ensured that high standards were in classrooms to stay.

Univsion Education Fair
During Pearl's tenure as President/CEO, Expect More Arizona had the opportunity to partner each year with the Maricopa Community Colleges and Univision to produce an Education Fair providing critical resources to help Latino students succeed academically.
Expect More Arizona
Pearl has served for over a decade in non-profit leadership roles, including as the former President & CEO of Expect More Arizona. She was the first President & CEO of the organization and together with a strong Board of Directors, talented staff, and diverse community partnerships, grew the new non-profit into a statewide leading voice and advocate for education.

Teach For America Board of Directors
Pearl served as a non-profit executive for over a decade, including holding the role of Executive Director for Teach For America Phoenix, which was founded by Wendy Kopp (pictured far right). Pearl is now proud to serve on the Board of Directors for Teach For America - Phoenix, which is being led by Katie Tennessen Hooten (third from right).
Maricopa Community Colleges Event
During Pearl's tenure as the President & CEO, Expect More Arizona sought the partnership of a dozen leading education and business organizations to host a welcome reception for the new chancellor of MCCD, Maria Harper-Marinick. The Maricopa Community Colleges play a critical role in providing greater educational opportunity for diverse students and building a highly qualified workforce.
